ABOUT MICHI

A Japanese learning path built to connect the pieces.

Michi is a product of Japanese Lingo, created by Shahzaib. The app is designed around a simple idea: beginners should understand how kana, kanji, vocabulary and grammar connect, then practise using those pieces to build Japanese sentences.

Why Michi exists

Japanese beginners often end up with one resource for kana, another for kanji, another for grammar and a separate flashcard deck for vocabulary. Michi brings those skills into one guided path so progress feels connected instead of fragmented.

What Michi focuses on

  • Hiragana and Katakana recognition, writing and quizzes.
  • Kanji meaning, readings, stroke order and visual memory.
  • Useful vocabulary organised into learnable topics.
  • Grammar patterns and sentence-building practice.
  • Beginner context, listening, checkpoints, XP and streaks.
  • A structured JLPT N5-oriented beginner path.
